Use of Force Essay Example for Free

Utilization of Force Essay Utilization of power can be characterized as the privilege conceded to the position or a person to settle clashes through measures that are focused on either forestalling or deterring a given gathering from a specific strategy or physical mediation to stop the individual(s) from going in a specific direction. In that capacity, utilization of power might be applied by the military, the police, other security work force or revisions with an end goal to stop or forestall wrongdoing. The official branch may likewise practice the utilization of power in such cases as sending the military or the police with an end goal to keep up lawfulness or to safeguard the sway of the nation being referred to. In any case, the utilization of power by the official branch is reliant on political locale passed by the administrative branch. Fundamentally, the utilization of power is vested in resolutions in the constitution with a progression of dynamic activities approving given specialists and security bodies to apply the utilization of power in certain circumstance. Dissimilar to the utilization of exchange and compromise strategies, constrained is useable by a law requirement official if a crook decay from stopping a specific game-plan or on the off chance that he endeavors to run. Utilization of power in this setting incorporates physical limitation and deadly power to explain or to control such a person from perpetrating the wrongdoing. The general standard anyway remains that lone a sensible power possibly utilized and just the important one given the conditions under which power is required. In that capacity, people approving the utilization of power are constantly considered responsible for the degree or the degree of power utilized in some random circumstance (Marie, 2001, p. 43). Law authorization officials and security faculty are generally confronted with differing circumstance in their line of obligation that expects them to utilize power in hindering wrongdoing or even to ensure themselves. A case of such a circumstance is the point at which a cop is associated with a shoot out with crooks. In such a circumstance, power will be required not exclusively to deflect the hoodlums yet additionally for self protection. While utilization of power is reasonable in specific conditions, the level and how much power is applied is generally restricted by the situation being referred to. Security and cops are required to utilize just the important power given a specific situation and are accordingly considered mindful and responsible for power utilized in such conditions. Then again, the level of power applied by an official is subject to the current situation as well as on how such an official is prepared as far as a weapon, binds or other hardware and instruments utilized by law implementation officials, for example, pepper shower. Rather than cops, security officials are not approved to make captures however circumstance may offer them to arrest a crook. Regardless of whether a security official or a cop, managing any circumstance require the utilization of sensible power by keeping away from exorbitant power under the situation being referred to (Regina, 2001, p. 38). In such manner, the official included is required to get to the reality of the circumstance, the hazard related with such a circumstance and the circumstance quickness. On the off chance that it is a security official who is available in such a circumstance, the best move to make is to advise law requirement specialists to make the significant move. Diffusing any given circumstance necessitates that the cops be very much prepared and educated in regards to the laws relevant and particularly on the utilization of power continuum which gives the vital rules concerning the level of power appropriate in various circumstances (Thomas, 2002, p. 62). The utilization of power continuum can be separated to six levels that are planned in a flexible way with regards to the requirement for utilizing power given that circumstances continue evolving. For instance, a circumstance may necessitate that the degree of power utilized skip from level one to level two and back again very quickly or seconds. As to the utilization of power continuum, the main level incorporates the nearness of an obvious and formally dressed cop or a checked vehicle. This is normally observed as enough to stop or dissuade a wrongdoing. The nearness of an official here incorporates strolling, running or standing. Likewise characterized in the idea of quality is utilization of vehicle lights, speaker or a horn. In this specific situation, the cop is equipped for halting a wrongdoing without a word yet rather using signals and non-verbal communication. Notwithstanding, such motions ought to be proficient and non-undermining. The subsequent level includes the mix of quality of an official and the utilization of verbal correspondence to deflect or stop a wrongdoing in progress. Generally, variety in voice can be utilized, for example, murmuring, yelling or only ordinarily to accomplish the ideal outcomes. Officials are normally encouraged to begin serenely in a firm yet non-undermining way. Words picked and their force can be shifted as considered important and short orders can be utilized in managing difficult circumstances. This level necessitates that a cop be all around prepared in relational abilities in order to have the option to convey adequately in some random circumstance. Generally, the utilization of verbal correspondence joined with the nearness of the cop can have the option to hinder or stop a wrongdoing without the requirement for physical power (Ian, 1998, p. 23). Level three includes the utilization of control holds and limitations where words and nearness neglects to apply. This requires the physical inclusion of the cop present in the circumstance. Be that as it may, negligible power ought to be utilized including exposed hands for managing, limiting or holding the culprit. Along these lines at this level, utilization of hostile moves, for example, punching ought to be kept away from. The official being referred to may utilize torment consistence holds where common holds neglect to control a presume who is forceful. Then again, the official may utilize binds where a presume displays characteristics of animosity, where the person in question represents a genuine danger of where such a speculate shows the chance of escaping. Then again, not all suspects require cuffs and if the official uses binds, he is answerable for directing such a person to keep him from falling or stumbling. Extraordinary consideration ought to likewise be seen to stay away from any substantial damage to the presume, for example, positional suffocation. Preparing is along these lines critical to help cops apply the vital measures in circumstances that require utilization of control holds and limitations (Marie, 2001, p. 52). The forward degree of utilization of power continuum includes the utilization of substance specialists to diffuse a wrongdoing. In the event that the official sets up that the suspect is compromising or fierce, extraordinary yet peacefulness measures can be utilized to control the suspect. This anyway is dependent upon the presumption that every single other degree of power continuum have neglected to be successful. In such manner, pepper spread or nerve gas can be utilized to diffuse the circumstance. It is critical to note here that legitimate consideration ought to be taken when utilizing substance specialists to dissuade or stop a wrongdoing as such operators may make demise or extreme responses suspects with unfavorably susceptible and other ailments. In addition, they can make the speculate tumble down a flight of stairs or stroll into traffic (Regina, 2001, p. 27). Level five includes measures focused on transitory debilitating the suspect being referred to. The supposition behind utilization of power in this level is that the condition was extraordinary, prompt and savage. The official at that point can utilize void hands or effect apparatuses. In such manner, protective and hostile moves are permitted yet should be applied appropriately and in the correct conditions. Transitory debilitation is helpful in forestalling a physical issue with respect to the official and others associated with the circumstance. The official may utilize mallet blows on specific joints territories or on delicate tissues or utilization of immobilizer to cripple the presume sufficiently long to cuff him or get more assistance. Care should anyway be taken while applying any measures as some of them, for example, neck compressions are extremely dangerous and represents a danger to the job of the suspect.

Case Study On Improvement Of Low Voltage Power Engineering Essay

Contextual analysis On Improvement Of Low Voltage Power Engineering Essay This contextual analysis gives examinations on low voltage power appropriation framework as far as electrical framework structure at INTEC Section 17 Shah Alam. It was directed to guarantee that the framework applied is suitable where it could prompt dependable and conservative circulation of intensity. Along these lines, this venture was centered around 415V feeder column where recommendation can be offered to improve the regarded framework structure. Dissemination framework is a framework worked to give a methods for financially and dependably conveying power from one, or every so often more than one principle area to various topographically scattered burden places inside a characterized site limit [1]. Low voltage power dispersion framework is the segment between essential feeder and use hardware. In this way, the reason for low voltage circulation is to disperse capacity to end client where simultaneously giving safe conditions. Internatioanl Education College (INTEC) Section 17, Shah Alam is where this contextual investigation was conveyed. The low voltage dispersion framework applied at INTEC is traditional basic outspread dissemination framework where the activity and development of the framework are basic. Be that as it may, issues happen as the force transformer (2000kVA 11kV/433V) is overheated and the links protection of auxiliary windings is liquefied because of over-burden. The framework itself is very old where feeder column used to assign the ability to indicate load is very blocked where it need some redesign. Along these lines, to handle those issues in regards to on low voltage conveyance framework, proposals can be offered to improve the framework that meets the particulars of electrical norm and simultaneously fulfill the end clients. Ideally it tends to be extra data for the INTEC Facility Unit to defeat the issues and redesign the regarded feeder column to give protected, prudent and solid capacity to the end clients. Destinations The destinations of this contextual investigation are: To get a relative data with respect to on the low voltage power circulation arrangement of INTEC. To watch the clogged feeder column plan and execution at INTEC. To recognize issues identified with the clogged feeder column. To propose for the improvement of clogged feeder column. Technique The contextual investigation of low voltage power circulation at INTEC was completed dependent on the preliminary wellspring of data, for example, books, diaries, articles and related electrical determinations by The Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineer (IEE), Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) and Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR). With collaboration of nearby Facility Unit of INTEC, perceptions of regarded substation and feeder column have been finished. Some photograph and perusing has been taken to picture the regarded issues with respect to on the overheated transformer and clogged feeder column. In this way, from those information, recommendations can be offered to defeat the issues and simultaneously to improve the clogged feeder column. At long last, for future examination, conclusions can raised for the further improvement of low voltage power conveyance framework. LOW VOLTAGE POWER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM Dispersion Feeder Feeder is the dispersion lines that convey power all through the circulation framework. Outspread circulation feeders are described by having just single way for capacity to spill out of the source (substation) to the buyer load. The appropriation arrange is made out of the substations and the feeders that they gracefully. Feeders are made out of segments each filling a need. The mainline is the foundation of the feeder and is regularly a three-stage line commonly intended for 400A ostensible and 600A possibility stacking. From this mainline, three-stage or single-stage laterals broaden. Laterals are branches that are associated with the fundamental line to serve loads, which can have laterals of their own. To shield mainlines from shortcomings in the laterals, these are regularly intertwined or exchanged by remote reclosers. Figure 1. Power Supply Specification in Malaysia The most widely recognized setup for feeders is a four-wire wye arrangement; one conveyor for every one of the three stages in addition to a strong multi-grounded nonpartisan transmitter. By and by, less regular arrangements are three wire wye and delta designs. Four-wire wye designs are widely utilized for their security and simple shortcoming insurance [4]-[7]. This circuit type allows the utilization of under-appraised voltage gear by utilizing stage to-ground voltages, and breaker security for ground shortcomings. Feeder Pillar Feeder Pillar is the electrical compartment that comprises of hardware that appropriates capacity to the regarded loads. It controls the exchanging of burden where simultaneously gives insurance to the circulation line. Ordinary feeder column comprises of busbar, electrical switch, earthing assurance and metering gear. The heaps can be determined by (1) for single stage and (2) for three stage framework where it is corresponding to voltage (V), current (I) and edge among voltage and current (ÃŽ ¸): P=VI cos ÃŽ ¸. (1) P=√3 VI cos ÃŽ ¸. (2) By applying assorted variety factor, the heap utilization ought to be not exactly the determined an incentive from (1) or (2) where a similar burden won't be utilized constantly. Assorted variety is the building rule that in some random establishment, a portion of the associated burdens won't be running simultaneously moment as different burdens [8]. Accordingly the most extreme interest of burdens can be gotten to guarantee that the link and assurance utilized is suitable all through the framework. The voltage drop of link is influenced by link length (L), classified voltage drop (mV/A/m) and the structure current (Ib) as appeared in (3). v.d. (V) = [(mV/A/m) L Ib]/1000. (3) Security Formed Case Circuit Breaker (MCCB) is utilized to interfere with the present way during issue event. It is appropriate for TPN (Three Phase and Neutral) links while Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) has lower rating contrasted with MCCB and it is just applied for SPN (Single Phase and Neutral) line. Earthing of the feeder column will give assurance from spillage flow to guarantee the security to human from the risk of electric stuns during testing or support. LOW VOLTAGE POWER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM IN INTEC INTEC HT Distribution System The approaching flexibly for INTEC from TNB is 11kV. At that point it is step down to 415V by 2000KVA dissemination transformer. The general HT streamlined schematic graph of INTEC can be seen as underneath: Figure 2. Improved schematic graph for HT electrical framework in INTEC Low Voltage Distribution System Next, the center will be at Pencawang Elektrik No.1 where perception is done at Feeder Pillar No.1. The schematic graph of LV side from Pencawang Elektrik No.1 can be seen from Fig. 3. INTEC utilized outspread conveyance feeder since it required lower cost, simpler issue current security, lower flaw present and simpler voltage control. Figure 3. MSB schematic graph of LV at Pencawang Elektrik No. 1 Feeder Pillar Feeder Pillar No.1 is situated between Block B (Cafeteria) and Block A (Computer Lab). This feeder column was associated from MSB. The greatest current rating for the MCCB of approaching is 600A. C:UsersuserDesktopINTECN8 Afdhalfeeder column 2.jpg Figure 4. American Dreamer Essay

Bharati Mukherjee’s paper about a â€Å"American Dreamer† was carried across with a solid positive point which I concurred with generally. Subsequent to perusing her article various occasions I at last took a few to get back some composure of what she was attempting to get across to the peruser. On one hand she clarifies that she appreciates the bill of rights and what our country was established upon. I figure many individuals would concur with this thinking about how far our country has with it, however on the other hand you have the individuals who contradict. Then again she communicates how she feels about being called Indian-American. The manner in which she passes on her feeling about it makes me need to concur with her more. Her composing is exceptionally influential and I need to state I concur with her since feeling, yet for the explanation that if I somehow managed to go to another nation, and need to function as hard as she did to turn into an authorized resident. Something else were in the same spot on is putting a hyphenated status much in the wake of turning into a completely authorized resident. Mukherhee examination of her way of life to the United States was fascinating to me. I have never observed an individual express the amount they esteem their societies severe laws and guidelines. This makes me consider how I exploit all the extraordinary things my nation brings to the table. She portrayed her way of life plainly and something that waited in my mind was that the guardians picked who you wedded. This made me appreciative of the numerous opportunities I have in my nation too. America has a great deal to offer yet the principle reason individuals relocate to United States is a direct result of the opportunity. I can comprehend why they choose to come here, however I have consistently asked why you don’t see Americans moving to different nations so much. There are numerous reasons they don’t go and I grasp them, however in the event that there was opportunity in those nations I question would it be extraordinary. In the course of the last a quarter century twenty million individuals have moved to the United States from different nations. That is a tremendous sum and it causes me to guess if that sum keeps on expanding will we be overpopulated in the years to come. I figure America should begin limit the measure of individuals that craving to become Americans, and begin to wipe out the outsiders who have chosen to not be capable and become legitimate residents. I am not saying this to be supremacist or defrading, however I am expressing this since individuals who come to America unlawfully take a ton of what our extraordinary nation brings to the table and use it like it was in there ownership as of now. For instance I have head of numerous illicit migrants that come to America and acquire free clinical consideration and government assistance watches that our charges pay for. All I ask is that they become legitimate and not take what our incredible nation brings to the table and exploit it. That is my own perspective regarding the matter however I wound up having nearly a similar view point as Mukherjee. This issue about any hyphenated status as an American is a questionable one, yet Bharati Mukherjee has a point and it should be heard. In the wake of striving to turn into a lawful resident you shouldn’t need to hyphenate racial status. Albeit some may question and have an all out assorted sentiment I would answer with a basic proposal to peruse this short article, since it positively affected me and I trust it will have the equivalent on you.

Style Analysis For See Them Di :: essays research papers

Style Analysis for See them Die, McBain means to lead the peruser into the grim litter-tossed condition of a packed American ghetto with its characteristic risk of savagery. Two commanding powers, Heat and July, settled in the initial two words, rise as twofold exemplifications, whores, in the primary passage, their bold 'retaliation', swaggering rudely, pompously, destined to cause you to endure. Here the tone is forceful, and threatening as McBain builds up the control his 'twin bitches' apply. This beautiful beginning, wealthy in firm terribleness, fills in as a spring board for the more abusive climate disregard makes, and the ignoble feeling of capture which follows. 'The air is substantial' embodies the air, giving it reason in its boring environmental factors, and alongside the onomatopoeic 'clingy' and 'sticking', passes on a feeling of destruction. McBain then spotlights on the visual 'dreadfulness', splashing tangible emotions all through the following four lines, 'grayish splendor', 'light that is bewildering' and 'sparkle of blue', all carry with them sentiments of exceptional light, and a cruel, unnatural condition. The indistinguishable thoughts of 'warmth' and 'July' give the piece a safe establishment on which the detail fabricates. This basic security, strengthened by three different lines additionally set in separation, gives McBain's composing a solid edge, in this manner supplementing his distressing tone. It is just 8:40 am…and it its Sunday. Set practically halfway, offers a basic update considerably more will follow when the individuals wake up; that in truth we are encountering the awkward quiet before the urban tempest. These thoughts differentiate the 'calm' of the past line. After the opening figurative passage McBain creates subtleties of the disagreeable light and its blended impact on the scene: shine, grayish, light and dull, sin sits low, blurred, sparkle, trace of blue. These impressions, joined with some successful 'material' style, pass on a feeling of lopsidedness and strengthen the general quality of capriciousness. The third significant passage brings us into the reject of human residence, an expansion of the depressingness developed already. Trash, disregard and the ignoble side effects of neediness set up obviously that the individuals in the setting are caught on all sides by warmth, July and where they live. The basic development of a man's arm, through its unmistakable difference, strengthens the control of the disturbing road condition. The single line This is the main development in the city Cuts off any further looks at individuals or activity, at this stage, with regards to the author's main reason.

The Village Voice, June 23, 2009 On Fox News The one time Fox News ever asked me to be a guest was when Madonna made news by kissing another famous female, Britney Spears. They thought I had expertise, maybe. I said, No, duh. The Guardian UK, September 28, 2008 On Being a Political Commentator I do worry if being a pundit is a worthwhile thing to be. Yeah, I’m the unlikely cable news host. But before that I was the unlikely Rhodes scholar. And before that I was the unlikely kid who got into Stanford. And then I was the unlikely lifeguard. You can always cast yourself as unlikely when you’re fundamentally alienated in your worldview. It’s a healthy approach for a commentator. New York Magazine, November 2, 2008

The Best And Worst Of The American Industrial Revolution

The Best and Worst of the American Industrial Revolution Paradoxes as well as contradictions have been expressed in describing previous time periods. Stated from A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens, â€Å"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times...for the good or for the evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only† (Dickens 1). Weyerhaeuser s Performance Management Process - 951 Words

Weyerhaeuser s Performance Management Process Weyerhaeuser uses a pay for performance system and utilizes a performance management process (PMP) to evaluate employee’s annual performance and that performance rating is used in calculating the individual’s merit pay increase. Over the years, Weyerhaeuser’s pay for performance compensation strategy has undergone several changes and improvements. The company utilizes merit increases where an individual’s yearly increase is based on how well they have performed against objectives. Performance management is directly tied to compensation in a pay for performance system and is based on how well an individual performs during the year against specific, measurable goals is tied to how much they will receive in a merit pay system. According to Milkovich, Newman and Gerhart (2014, p. 337), ‘a merit pay system links increases in base pay (called merit increases) to how highly employees are rated on a performance evaluation.† How well your merit pay system works and is seen by the employees as effective, fair, and a tool to increase motivation and retention is based on how well performance is actually measured and the ability to quantify performance. What do you find interesting, confusing, surprising or difficult to understand about the treatment of tax in your firms financial statements? What new insights, if any, have you gained about how companies account for income tax as a result of examining your firms tax expense in its accounts? Answer: Answer 1 There are three major items in the balance sheet of the companies and one of these items is Equity. There is not any exception of this fact in case of Retail Food Group (RFG). According to the Balance Sheet 2017 of RFG, there are three major items under equity; they are Issued Capital, Reserves and Retained Earning. Issued capital is considered as the equity of the business organizations (Saunders and Cornett 2012). Business organizations use to raise one portion of capital required for their businesses. The calculation of issued capital is done by multiplying the number of shares of stock outstanding by the par value of the shares. According to the annual report of RFG, an increase in issue capital can be seen in 2017 as compared to 2016; that is $ 402,472,000 in 2017 from $ 324,072,000 in 2016 (rfg.com.au 2017). The major items under issues capital are issue of ordinary shares, cost of the issue of shares and income tax related to issue of shares. The next item in the equity of RFG is Reserves. Under the concept of financial accounting, reserve is considered as a part of the companys equity. This is considered as the extra amount except for basic share capital. The latest annual report of RFG states that there is an increase in equity reserves in 2017 as compared to 2016; that is $ 106,000 in 2017 from $ 1,495,000 in 2016 (rfg.com.au 2017). In RFG, three components of equity reserves are reserve for equity settled employee benefit, reserve for foreign currency translation and reserve for hedging. The next item under the equity of RFG is Retained Earning. It represents the total profit and losses of the company from the time of its formation decreased by any dividend paid by the shareholders. The latest annual report of RFG states that the company has retained more earnings in the year 2017 as compared to 2016; that is $ 62,594,000 in 2017 from $ 52,555,000 in 2016 (rfg.com.au 2017). The positive retained earnings state that RFG has more profits than losses. T he components of retained earnings in RFG are net profit attributed towards the members of the company, dividends given or paid and impact of restatement (Almazari 2012). All these above-discussed components are the major items of equity in RFG. Answer 2 In the business organizations, different types of expenses can be seen like selling expenses, administrative expenses and many others. One of such expenses is Tax Expenses. In addition, tax expense is considered as a major liability of the companies owing to the federal, state and municipal governments of the country (Chetty and Hendren 2013). The calculation of tax expense is done by multiplying the appropriate tax of the business by the income before taxes after factoring some major items like non-deductable items, tax assets and tax liabilities. There is not any exception of this fact in case of RFG as the company has its tax expenses. According to the latest annual report of RFG, the company has reported $ 87,613,000 in 2017 and $ 76,583,000 in 2016 as their profit from continuing operations before income tax (rfg.com.au 2017). According to the regulations of Australian Tax Law, the corporate tax rate for the Australian companies is 30%. Based on the tax rate of 30%, the total ta x expenses of RFG is $ 25,686,000 in 2017 and $ 23,620,000 in 2016 (Burman and Phaup 2012). This is the main tax expenses of the company for 2017 and 2016. It can be observed that there has been an increase in the total tax expenses of the company due to the rise in income for the company in 2017 as compared to 2016. Answer 3 From the above discussion, it can be seen that RFG has $ 87,613,000 in 2017 and $ 76,583,000 in 2016 as profit from continuing operation before changing income tax. In addition, the latest annual report of RFG states that the company has used the rate of 30% in financial year 2017 and 2016. In the rate of 30%, the total income tax expenses of RFG should be $ 26,284,000 ($ 87,613,000*30%) in 2017 and $ 22,975,000 ($ 76,583,000*30%) in 2016. However, the actual tax expense for RFG in 2017 and 2016 is $ 25,686,000 and $ 23,620,000 respectively (rfg.com.au 2017). Thus, a clear difference in the tax expenses of RFG can be seen. In case of RFG, there are some specific reasons for the differences in the tax expenses in spite of having the same tax rate of 30%. There are some specific items that are either included or excluded in the preliminary total tax expenses. These items can be considered as the reasons for the difference in tax expenses. In RFG, there are five such items having additi onal effects on the total tax expenses of the company. The first item is non-deductable expenses for the determination of taxable profits (Piketty and Saez 2013). There are some expenses in RFG that should not be deducted from income of the company. As a result of this, $ 879,000 and $ 638,000 added in 2017 and 2016 respectively (rfg.com.au 2017). The next item is the presence of different tax rates for the subsidiaries of the company. RFG has 30% tax rate. However, the subsidies of RFG have 28% tax rate in New Zealand and 34% in United States of America. Due to this difference in tax rate, $ 12000 and $ 17000 is deducted from the original tax expenses of the company. The third item is the presence of deferred tax assets. Companies get tax benefits for the presence of deferred tax assets (Piketty and Saez 2012). For this reason, $ 177,000 deducted from the tax expenses of RFG in the year 2016. There are some other items that are required to be added back with the tax expenses of RFG . Due to this, $ 82000 and $ 201,000 was added. The last item is the presence of non-assessable incomes. Some incomes are not required to be assessed under taxation. Thus, $ 1,547,000 is added with the total tax expenses. Answer 4 Deferred tax assets and liabilities are two of the major concepts for the tax operation of the companies. Deferred tax assets refer to the situation where the companies overpay taxes or pay taxes in advance on their financial assets (Laux 2013). On the other hand, deferred income tax liabilities represent a situation where difference can be seen in the profit and tax carrying value of the company (Harrington, Smith and Trippeer 2012). In case of RFG, it can be seen that the company has reported both their deferred tax assets and liabilities in the statement of financial position. It shows that RFG has deferred tax assets of $ 13,657,000 in 2017 and $ 7,394,000 in 2016. In addition, the company has $ 119,433,000 in 2017 and $ 115,908,000 in 2016 as deferred tax liabilities (rfg.com.au 2017). Considering the accounting rules and regulations of deferred tax and assets, there are some reasons for the development of deferred tax assets and liabilities. In case of deferred tax assets, the reason may be the excess payment of depreciation by the company due to the difference in depreciation and taxable depreciation rate. Due to the excess payment in depreciation, RFG will not have to pay the additional tax in next year; thus, it is considered as an asset. In case of deferred tax liabilities, it may be happened due to the temporary differences in company profits, the company had to pay less taxes in the current year (Gallemore et al. 2012). Thus, it is required for the company to pay that in the next years. For this reason, it is considered as liability. Answer 5 Current tax assets or income tax payable is considered as an important aspect for the business organizations. In the annual reports of RFG, the company has reported about their current tax assets. According to 2017 statement of financial position of RFG, it can be observed that RFG has not reported any amount for current tax assets in the year 2017. However, in the year 2016, the company reported $ 4,455,000 as their current tax assets. In addition, in the year 2017, RFG has reported $ 2,546,000 as their current tax liabilities or current tax assets (rfg.com.au 2017). In companies, it can be seen that there is a difference between income tax expenses and income tax payable and some specific reasons can be held responsible for this disparity. The first reason is the presence of deferred tax assets. There are many instances where the company pays extra amount of taxes as compared to the tax expenses (Rego and Wilson 2012). In this situation, the extra amount of tax paid will be considered as deferred tax assets that create the difference. The next reason is the difference between the rules of financial accounting and the rules of tax accounting. Under this aspect, the example of depreciation can be mentioned. Difference for depreciation can be seen under financial accounting and tax accounting for different rate of depreciation (Khurana and Moser 2012). Thus, the amount of final depreciation payable can be either increased or decreased. Thus, these are the main reasons behind the differences between income tax payable and income tax expenses. Answer 6 In the financial statements of RFG, the company has mentioned about their tax expenses in the income statement and in the statement of cash flows. However, it can be observed that RFG has reported two different set of amounts in income statement and cash flow statement. In the income statement, RFG reported $ 25,686,000 in 2017 and 23,620,000 in 2016 as income tax expenses; and in the statement of cash flows, RFG reported $ 21,460,000 and $ 19,298,000 (rfg.com.au 2017). There are some specific reasons for this disparity in the amounts of income tax expenses. In the income statements, the company shows the whole amount of tax expenses by charging the tax rate of 30% on the profit from continuing operation before tax. However, the case is different in case of cash flow statement. In this context, it needs to be mentioned that the tax expenses come under the cash flow from operating activities (Auerbach et al. 2013.). Under this section of cash flow statement, some items of the income s tatements are treated differently. It implies that certain changes take place in the current assets and liabilities of the companies. In RFG, the payment of income tax is considered as a current asset. In the cash flow statement, some reduction in the components of income tax expense has been brought that indicates the use of cash. It implies that some components of tax expenses have been cut off before considering them in the statement of cash flows (Canto, Joines and Laffer 2014). For these reasons, the difference in tax expenses can be seen in the income statement and statement of cash flows. Answer7 After the observation of the tax treatment in the financial statements of RFG, it needs to be mentioned that there is not any confusing and surprising elements in the tax treatments. RFG has conducted all of their tax treatments by complying with the rules and regulations of Australian Taxation Law (rfg.com.au 2017). In addition, RFG has provided all the explanations and justifications of various taxation factors like tax rate, deferred tax assets and liabilities, current tax assets, current tax liabilities and others. However, there are some interesting factors in the tax treatment of RFG. The most important factors is the explanation of the company about the difference between total tax expense. RFG has provided explanation about the five major factors responsible for creating difference in tax expenses (rfg.com.au 2017). In this table, RFG has also shown the calculation. Another important factor is the difference in tax expenses in income statement and cash flow statement. All the se interesting factors are very much helpful for enhancing the understanding as well as knowledge in company taxation. From this analysis, one can gain insight and knowledge about the tax treatments by the companies. References Almazari, A.A., 2012. Personal Experience of Friendship Essay Example For Students

Personal Experience of Friendship Essay Viktor Frankl said, â€Å"Everything can be taken from a man but one thing; the last of the human freedoms to choose one’s attitude in any given circumstance, to choose one’s way. † I agree with this quote because if something doesn’t go the way you want to, it all depends on how you look at it. You could either look at the bright side of it and make things better, or look at the awful part of it, and make things worse. I always try to look at the bright side of it, especially since your perception influences your outlook on life. Do you want your perception on life to be tremendous, or dreadful? I would have to say, my life is wonderful. Although, every so often it turns dreadful. However, I always manage to turn it around, so I can be happy again. When I was younger, my life wasn’t like it is today. I had to deal with enormous changes in my life to get it the way it is today. The biggest change I had to deal with was friendship. When I was younger I would have done anything to be popular. I thought that if you were popular, that everybody would like you, and you could be the center of attention. There are 2 types of popularity, good and bad popularity. Good popularity is where everybody knows you for the good things you have done, and wants to be around you. There is also bad popularity, where everybody knows you for the horrible things that you have done, and nobody wants to be around you. The hardest thing was figuring out that I wasn’t the good popular. Once I figured out that I wasn’t the good popular, I tried to think of ways I had become the bad type of popularity. I tried to think back to see what I have done in my past, to make people dislike me. Then I figured it out; it was all because of the people I was hanging out with. My friends use to make fun of kids who had made mistakes. People use to say that my friends could make something small, into something really dramatic. The only thing was that we never thought of how the kids might react or feel. The kids could have been embarrassed, sad, hurt, or even ashamed of themselves. Once I saw this in myself, I knew it was time for me to make a change. The first thing I had to do was change my friends. I knew it wouldn’t be easy because of how long we had all been together, but luckily I did it. I got rid of my old friends. Then I needed to get new friends, when most of the kids didn’t like me. Somehow, I managed to get new friends. I got new friends that actually cared about people. When I got my new friends, I felt different around them. It was weird for a while, until I actually found out that my old friends weren’t actually true friends. Real friends would support you in everything you do, while my old friends didn’t. After that, I never went back to them. My biggest change was my perception of friendship. I hope they help me become a better person.
