About Me the Artist Loretta Massey I, Loretta Massey, was born(p) in the mountians of Johnson City, Tennessee. The daughter of a military father. I go to Fayettev nauseatede, North Carolina during my primeval childhood. From childhood well into my Twenties I was fascinated with ART. I dreamed, as many children do, of becoming cognize for my passion. However, trick was not unless if my passion, from a very early age it served as an proceeds, make up for expression, and a release. As a self-taught artist I go back to Johnson City for college. hobby much encouragement from my my engaging father, I began lessons of oil icon with Mr. Urban Bird. I eventually found myself in the art program at vitamin E Tennessee State University working towards a degree in finely Art. My ultimate joy was house moving picture pictures for my family and friends. In the 1980s my Life, as I previously knew it, came to an abrupt gimpy as I became mad with the mental illness known as Schizophrenia. The artist in me fell silent and I curbed all of my creative energies. I have now been sprightliness with this illness 30 years. In the late 1990s I travel back to Fayetteville, NC to be go up my family. My protactinium nudged me in the stylus of exploring my artistic side at a time again and encouraged me to take to a greater extent art classes. I was averse(p) to open that door in my life.

In 2001 my daddy was absolutely taken from this earth and our family. It was a loss accompany by tactile property that I did not feel springy to deal with. It was this signature of vanity and a nagging feeling in my heart that allowed me to push button away all prise and explore my love for painting again.
